There is something to be said about eating well.   It does wonders for your body, mind, spirit, and soul.  I notice whenever I eat something unhealthy, I find that I am tired, not myself, (meaning little things might irk me), and I certainly know there are zero nutrients going into my system.  I am a person who eats well. I enjoy all of the beautiful colors and benefits that are offered in fruits and vegetables.  I also enjoy cooking.  I am not a Vegan.  I did try that lifestyle for one (1) year, but I became thinner than I ever wanted to be.  I was never concerned about my weight. I was, and I am still am a very active individual.  The old saying, "keep it moving" is imprinted in my mind.  I just wanted to experience what it was like to be a Vegan. All in all, I missed eating my meats.  I understand there are alternatives, it just wasn't for me.  I wanted a beef burger!    With that said, during my Vegan journey I discovered Hummus, and I fell in love with it. I loved all of the flavors and the many foods I could incorporate into a snack.  I eat Celery, Apples, Carrots, and Cucumbers with Hummus.  My favorite is Red Roasted Pepper Hummus.  Hummus offers many health benefits such as:
  • Super Nutritious and Packed With Plant-Based Protein. ...
  • Rich in Ingredients Proven to Help Fight Inflammation. ...
  • High in Fiber That Promotes Digestive Health and Feeds Your Good Gut Bacteria. ...
  • Has a Low Glycemic Index, So May Help Control Blood Sugar Levels

Hummus is  a thick paste or spread made from ground chickpeas and sesame seeds, olive oil, lemon, and garlic, made originally in the Middle East.

It also offers benefits for you skin, hair and nails.   I eat Hummus about 3 times per week, sometimes more, for a quick and healthy snack.   If you have not tried it, give it a try.  I am serious when I say, if I could bathe in it I would.

Give it a try!

Women are tough on ourselves, and many times tough on other women.  Is there really a need to be so competitive?  No.  For as long as I have been alive, I never understood why the female relationship was so complicated.  I have heard women are too emotional, too sensitive, way to catty and full of drama.  I would wonder, "who are these people hanging out with"?  And they call them their friends.  Friends should be chill, understanding, strong in areas you are weaker in, supportive, and they should never bring drama.  But, it happens.  There are times when one friend does way too much for the other, and when they need that person, they are too busy or they go  incognito.  I have been there.   Here is when I actually found my "best friend" was in Striking Tela.   My business represents who I am, creative, open, fun, loving, responsible, and caring.  It is the one place I can pour out my heart and soul, and I am my own critic.  I never get offended and I do not have to defend my choices.  I don't have to ask for advice, and I don't have to give it.  This is why women in business is kind of a big deal.  We really do live in our own space.  A place where we give 100 percent of who we are and we don't have to worry about being let down by  outside influences.  The only impression we give is that of who we really are. When women own their own business, it is in relation to operating a family, you find you are constantly on the move, you are budgeting, organizing, balancing, taking care of, counseling and making  decisions big and small.  Who has time for overly emotional, non-supportive, and insignificant drama?  When you're a woman in business, while facilitating key operatives, you have to be selective in choosing your friendships.  There are those who will set out to destroy everything you have built, there is jealousy, and those that think you have the ability to only concentrate on your business and therefore your are neglecting other areas and people in your life, (including them). This could not be further from the truth.  A woman in business is on it! She has an Eagles eye mixed with a tremendous amount of balance and power. She is courageous and formidable.  She isn't looking for sympathy of being over worked, she isn't looking for friends or people to put her down,  nor' is she too tired for events outside of home and family.  She is willing to go that extra mile and she holds herself accountable to make sure she is in attendance.  She really deserves your respect. Because no matter how easy she makes it look, she is practicing subjugation daily, hourly and every moment she has time to think about her next move. She does not bend to the masses easily. She is your mother, wife, daughter, niece, grandmother,  aunt, or sister.  She is the type of woman you can count on.  So I say,  now that you have read what many women in business adhere to, you will find you have someone you can count on by your side, and that's a pretty awesome thing.
